It’s October 2025. You’re barely awake and see nine new messages on WhatsApp. All from your Spanish friend Lucía. She’s dying laughing at the joke you told her last night about her ex…
And then it hits you: no way you could’ve said a joke in Spanish a year ago, let alone a funny one. Your accent held you back, the words just wouldn’t come out, every syllable was an effort. Fast-forward to now and Lucía cracks up at your hilarious jokes. And the best part is: she understands every nuance, the pauses, the intonation you use to tell it with. Your accent no longer gets in the way, it’s a vehicle for connection now.
That was a tale, but here’s a personal anecdote.
This is my friend Nicole. Her Italian accent seeps through the music and cheerings of the Spanish carnival, but it doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I don’t even notice it.

Nicole doesn’t have the typical Italian accent that screams “PIZZA! 🍕 PASTA! 🍝🤌🏼”. Quite the opposite, every time she’s asked:
How long have you been living in Spain? Ten years? You speak really well!
Nicole still struggles with the “rr” when she’s angry, but that doesn’t matter. Her accent stopped being a barrier to connecting with the locals a long time ago. When I hear Nicole, I don’t think “another foreigner,” I think: this girl is my people.
Nicole’s secret: working hard and catching mistakes that were holding her back in pronunciation early on. The same ones that are holding you back today.
Three mistakes that prevent you from improving your accent.
I don’t have to explain to you that if you have a strong accent, native speakers will perceive you negatively. You already know that. What I can tell you is the trap you’re falling into and the three mistakes that are holding you back:
You try to not speak “too basic”, but
you actually end up sounding like ChatGPT or a foreigner, not a local. We Spaniards use simple phrases most of the time; what really makes the difference between us and you is how we pronounce them. You want your sentences to be 100% perfect, with
absolutely no flaws and no mistakes, but perfection slows down your learning. The obsession with getting everything right is precisely what’s holding you back. You’re focusing on KNOWING MORE, while
the important thing is PRACTICE MORE. What you need is to practice in the moment, even if it sounds ugly, even if it doesn’t sound like what you expected. Theory is all well and good. But it’s in practice – real world exposure – where the magic, the transformation, the change happens.
When do you notice a change?
- Native speakers start taking your ideas seriously. You stop being “the nice foreigner” and start being yourself.
- They’re finally starting to include you in important moments: a project decision, planning a trip, a three-in-the-morning confession.
- They add you to WhatsApp groups where they share memes and gossip, not just official information or events. They want you to be included in all of it.
- Your friend sends you four-minute voice messages criticizing her boss because she knows you’ll understand every single bit of it. She knows you’ll laugh at her jokes and reply with another one. The transformation is real.
How do we get there?
With my program Revamp your accent. Here’s how it works and how it will help you:
💸 Price: 1000€
📅 Duration: 30 days (if you start on June 1st, you finish on June 30th).
✅ 2 individual classes (60 minutes each).
During our pronunciation sessions, I will listen to you speaking, to identify what aspects you need to correct or improve. In the first class, I analyze your pronunciation and tell you exactly what you need to improve. I get straight to the point.
Look, the most common problems I usually fix are:
Difficult Spanish sounds
Pronouncing them correctly is what makes the difference between being in the box of 📦just another foreigner📦 or being thought of as ✨Damn, how nice I don’t have to decipher what this guy is telling me✨Coarticulation
So you can stop sounding like a robot and start speaking fluently. Whether you coarticulate or not, as simple as it sounds, may be the key factor in getting people interested in your opinion. No joke.Rhythm and intonation
Learn how to use them well so your spanish sounds lively and expressive is key. What emotion do you want to express? Sadness, anger or joy? Then do “this”. Do you like being ironic or sarcastic? In Spanish, we do it “this” way, or “that” way. I’ll tell you what you need to do to stop sounding flat and dull.
✅ Daily support on WhatsApp
- Available Monday through Friday. Chill and relax on weekends.
- You can send me daily voice recordings and receive detailed feedback. I’ll warn you: my feedback isn’t the kind that pat you on the back. Sometimes it stings, scratches, scrapes, and makes you uncomfortable, but it’s what will make you progress. I won’t hold back on what you need to improve. I’d rather you feel a pinch now than continue loosing your charisma for years because of your accent.
- Each correction includes clear explanations so you know exactly how to improve.
✅ Exercises and extra material
To reinforce what you’ve learned and accelerate your progress.
✅ Pronunciation analysis comparing first and last days → It’s a good way to measure progress.

This program is for you if…
You’re already studying Spanish an hour a day
no matter what. There’s dedication in what you do. You understand what commitment means. You invest in learning more to improve your Spanish
as soon as you realize the VALUE it has.You can have basic conversations in Spanish,
you can talk about which beer you like the most, which one you don’t, your political opinions, but deep down, you’re afraid of being categorized as “just another boring guy” while in reality you know you’re worthy; it’s just that your pronunciation prevents you from showing it the way you’d like.Even if you seem to be on the right track,
impostor syndrome strikes every time someone interrupts you, as if they didn’t take you seriously because of your accent. And you end up thinking you’re not worth it, or that you’re “a piece of shit,” just because your accent isn’t where you want it to be yet 🥲.

Would you like a bite? 🍰
You can book a call with me here and I’ll give you some initial very cruel feedback. The session lasts 60 minutes, although I only need 10 seconds to listen to you speaking. 10 seconds is enough to spot 10 mistakes that scream “I come to Spain every summer” instead of “I’ve been living here for 7 years.”
And no, I don’t make sales calls: my time is precious, and I only want to invest my energy in students who truly want to advance, not just in their Spanish, but in their lives.
Lastly…

Look, this is me giving a whole talk in English. My accent is far from perfect, but impostor syndrome didn’t stop me from doing it. And I couldn’t be happier because that day I was able to connect with so many people in a very genuine way. Well, this is exactly what I want for you, but in Spanish.
